Sue Hull & Janet Fitzpatrick met in the mid-nineties in a local music shop. Janet had just started guitar lessons and, together with her teacher, was choosing a new guitar. Coincidentally, on that same day, Sue decided to look at some classical guitars and overheard their conversation. By the end of the visit both had purchased a guitar, gained a duo partner and booked a series of introductory lessons!
A few years later, and after many lessons with some inspirational teachers, they were asked to give a recital for their local guitar society, and shortly afterwards played for a fund-raising charity event, at which time a name for the duo was needed. “The Minor Duo” is perhaps self-explanatory!
